Vessel Washer

Vessel Washer

📝 Machine Overview

Automated Vessel Washers are precision-engineered systems designed to perform repeatable, validated cleaning of industrial containers, including process vessels, mixing tanks, drums, and portable bins. By replacing inconsistent and labor-intensive manual cleaning, these machines ensure guaranteed cleanliness levels, reduce water and chemical consumption, and enforce critical hygiene and cross-contamination protocols. Our vessel washers are fully programmable systems that integrate high-impact spray technology, controlled chemistry, and validated drying for turnkey cleaning solutions.

  • Batch Process Cleaning: Cleaning of mixing vessels, reactors, and blending tanks between product campaigns.

  • Reusable Container Washing: Cleaning of drums, IBCs, and portable bins for re-use in food, chemical, or pharmaceutical transport.

  • High-Purity Industries: Preparation and cleaning of vessels for WFI (Water for Injection) storage, API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) processing, and sensitive chemical production.

  • Food & Beverage: Cleaning of fermentation tanks, brewing vessels, and ingredient totes to prevent bacterial growth and allergen cross-contact.

  • Cosmetics & Personal Care: Ensuring residue-free vessels for batch integrity in lotions, creams, and gels.

  • Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology

  • Food & Beverage

  • Cosmetics & Personal Care

  • Fine Chemicals & Specialty Chemicals

  • Nutraceuticals

  • Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs)

  • Agricultural Chemicals

The washer operates on a fixed or rotating spray device principle. The vessel to be cleaned is placed in the chamber or onto a carriage. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) then automate a multi-stage cycle: pre-rinse, detergent wash (with controlled concentration, temperature, and time), multiple post-rinses (with Purified Water, Water for Injection – WFI, if required), and final hot air drying. High-flow, low-pressure (HP/LP) rotating spray balls or static jet sprays ensure complete coverage of all internal surfaces, including lids and complex geometries.

  • Cabinet-Style Drum Washers: For standard 200L drums, cans, and smaller vessels. Loaded via a manual or automated door.

  • Tunnel (Conveyor) Washers: For high-throughput cleaning of multiple identical vessels on a conveyorized belt system.

  • Custom Chamber Washers: Large, custom-built enclosures designed to clean entire portable tanks, IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers), or specialized process vessels.

  • Rotating Carriage (Ferris Wheel) Washers: For high-volume operations, using a rotating rack to move vessels through stationary spray zones.

  • Clean-in-Place (CIP) Systems: While not a “washer” per se, these are fixed, automated cleaning systems for large, non-portable tanks and process lines, often integrated directly with the vessel.

" Advanced Technical Features "

Core Features
  1. Guaranteed Coverage & Efficacy: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling of spray patterns ensures every internal surface receives the required cleaning impact (Shear Force) and detergent contact time.

  2. Precise Process Control: Fully automated control of time, temperature, chemical dosing, conductivity, and turbidity (optional) for a validated, repeatable clean every cycle.

  3. Resource Efficiency: Advanced filtration and water re-circulation systems (for pre-rinse/wash stages) drastically reduce water and detergent consumption versus manual cleaning.

  4. Hygienic Dry Design: Smooth, sloped surfaces, fully drainable cabinets, and CIP-able internal pipework prevent microbial harborage points.

  5. Operator Safety & Ergonomics: Enclosed process, safety interlocks on doors, and fume extraction options protect operators from chemicals, heat, and aerosols.

  6. Comprehensive Data Integrity: Electronic batch records with audit trail, storing all critical process parameters (CPPs) for each cycle for full regulatory traceability.

  • Validation-Ready Design: Systems are built with documentation packages (URS, FDS, DQ) and designed to facilitate Installation, Operational, and Performance Qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).

  • Reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO): Drastic savings in labor, water, chemicals, and wastewater treatment costs deliver a rapid ROI while eliminating cleaning-related batch failures.

  • Regulatory Compliance Assurance: Designs meet cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 (for data logging), EHEDG, and relevant ASME BPE standards for hygienic systems.

  • Flexible & Future-Proof: Recipe-driven programming allows for quick changeover between different vessel types or cleaning protocols. Modular design allows for capacity expansion.

  • Single-Source Integration: We supply the complete system, including the washer, water treatment skids (DI/RO), chemical dosing systems, and waste neutralization, ensuring seamless operation.

Installation requires a leveled floor, connection to utilities (plant steam, electricity, potable/PW/WFI water, drain), and potentially effluent neutralization. Key to operation is the creation and validation of washing recipes based on soil load. We provide full support, from site planning and installation to qualification protocol execution and operator training.
